This c.1935 photo of Square shows streetcars still operating.  E. Trade St. is on the right.

This remarkable photograph was taken just after the Great Catawba River Flood of July 1916.  It shows the remnants of the Southern Railroad Bridge across the Catawba River.  The stone pillars are still evident.

Louis Asbury designed Myers Park Methodist Church.  Notice the overhead wires that powered streetcars along Queens Road until 1938.

This 1907 shows Louis Asbury, Charlotte's first            native architect. He is on this side of the table looking backwards.

This is the intersection of Alexanderana Rd. & and Old Statesville Road in the 1930s.

A. G. Odell's 1957 Charlotte Public Library was a bold expression of Modernism.  It no longer survives.
