Education Committee April 28, 2003 Present: Ross Richardson, Chairman Michael Sullivan, Vice Chairman Tattie Bos Cameron Blake-Holtz Amy Hockett Yolanda Johnson-Gess Valerie Lewis John Misenheimer Jeff Bradsher The meeting commenced at 5:20 p.m. Mike Sullivan began the meeting by going over the program for the event on May 1st. Jeff Bradsher will be the master of ceremonies. Mr. Bradsher will underscore the purposes of the Education Committee. The overall function of the Historic Landmarks Commission will also be explained. He noted that Edgar Love will begin by speaking about the beginnings of the Commission. Dr. Morrill will discuss present aspects of the Commission. Ross Richardson will discuss the future projects of the Education Committee and will highlight other events in historic preservation week. Jeff Bradsher will end the program. A general discussion followed about arrangements for the event, including having a program and a map. The historic mural and descriptive boards will be displayed at the event. Michael Sullivan will supply name tags. Mike Sullivan distributed the list of individuals who have received invitations. Mike Sullivan went through the names of each to see who would be the best to contact him or her. The meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
