Clark Griffith Park, home of those "other" Charlotte Hornets... the baseball
team that was operated by the Minnesota Twins.
Meet me at the fair!
A 1943 postcard showing the Southern States Fair. The 100 acre fairgrounds
hosted all sorts of games, exhibits, and vendors. The sender of this
postcard wrote "Everything's swell, wish you could have come. Eating myself
to death, riding, etc."
Tennis, anyone?
The Julian J. Clark Tennis Stadium, located at the Olde Providence Racquet
Club.
Peanuts! Popcorn! Cracker Jack!

Memorial Stadium and the National Guard Armory. The stadium was completed in
1937 and orginally designed to seat 15,386. It has been renovated several
times since.
