A late 1940's view of buses at the square.
The square served as the tranfer point for all routes. This photo shows
Trade street looking east from the square. Notice the State Theatre which
sat at the current motor entrance to the Raddison. Of particular interest in
this photo is Jerry Ball and his piano suspended from a crane at the square.
Jerry would raise funds for the March of Dimes by playing requested tunes.
If he could play the tune the requestor would donate $1.00. If he couldn't
he would donate the $1.00.
