Since the Survey Committee meeting, the owners of the property have notified the Commission that they oppose designation at this time.  This property was on a list of endangered properties, from which we were trying to identify owners who supported designation. The Hinson store owners appeared  lukewarm to the idea, and we proceeded. Like the Maxwell-Cashion House, we approached the owners with the attitude that the S&R needed to be completed so that we could evaluate the significance of the property.   The building does not appear to be immediate peril.
