Gallery 1: Before Restoration
The Historic Preservation Foundation continues to make a major commitment to the North Charlotte Historic District. The Foundation has bought three houses on Patterson St. which it is about to begin restoring. Major tax credits will be available on these buildings. Let's say, for example, that the Foundation spends $30,000 restoring the house at 601 Patterson St. A buyer would save $9,000 on their State income tax if they lived in the house and $6,000 on their State Income tax and $6,000 on their Federal Income tax if they bought it as an investment.
